Connect Meta (Facebook & Instagram)
Connect your Facebook Business Manager to link your Meta ad account and Facebook Page, so you can create, launch, and manage Facebook and Instagram ads from one place. Once connected, any existing Meta campaigns in that ad account are automatically imported into your workspace.
Who this is for
Agencies, brands, and solo advertisers on any plan. You’ll need a Facebook Business Manager with at least one active ad account and a connected Facebook Page.
Before you begin
- You need a Facebook Business Manager account. If you don’t have one, create it at business.facebook.com before starting.
- Your Business Manager must have at least one ad account and one Facebook Page assigned to it.
- You need admin or advertiser-level permissions on the ad account you want to connect.
- If you manage multiple Business Managers, know which one holds the ad account and Page you want to use. You’ll select a specific Business Manager during login.
Steps
- Open the brand where you want to run Meta ads.
- Go to the Connected Accounts tab, then select Meta (Facebook & Instagram).
- Click Connect. A Facebook login window opens. Sign in with the Facebook account that has access to your Business Manager.
- If prompted, choose which Business Manager to use. Select the one that contains the ad account and Page you want to connect.
- Grant the requested permissions. These allow the platform to create ads, manage campaigns, and read performance data on your behalf.
- Select the ad account you want to use for this brand. Each brand supports one Meta ad account.
- Select the Facebook Page you want your ads to run from. This is the Page that appears as the publisher of your Facebook and Instagram ads.
Expected result
The Integrations tab shows Meta as connected with a green status indicator. Your selected ad account and Page are displayed beneath it.
If the ad account has existing campaigns, they automatically show up in the Advertise tab of the connected Brand within a few minutes. You’ll be able to check the results, no manual import needed.
Switching accounts or Business Managers
If you have multiple Business Managers and connected the wrong one, go back to the Integrations tab, disconnect Meta, and reconnect. During the Facebook login step, select the correct Business Manager.
To change the ad account or Page within the same Business Manager, disconnect and reconnect, then select the different ad account or Page during setup.
Common issues
- Your ad account doesn’t appear in the list: Make sure the Facebook account you signed in with has admin or advertiser access to that ad account in Business Manager. If it was recently added, log out and back in to refresh permissions. See: Why your page or account doesn’t appear.
- Your Facebook Page doesn’t appear: Double check the access given when connecting the account by disconnecting, and logging in again. After logging, tap on 'Edit Previous settings' to consult the previous configuration. See: My facebook page or instagram is not showing up.
- Permission error during login: If you see a permissions or access error, your Business Manager may have restrictions. See: Fix common permission and access errors.
- Meta verification error: Some Business Managers require identity verification before they can run ads. Complete verification in Meta Business Suite, then retry the connection. See: Fix the Meta verification error.
