Create an ad from a prompt
Describe what you're advertising in one sentence and get a complete, ready-to-launch campaign draft — audience targeting, ad copy, and creative included. This is the fastest way to go from idea to campaign.
Who this is for
All users on any plan. Works for Meta, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other connected platforms.
Before you begin
- At least one ad account connected (Meta, Google, TikTok, etc.)
- Brand context set up — the AI uses your brand voice, colors, and product information to personalize the output. The better your brand context, the better the results. See: Set up brand context.
Steps
- From the left sidebar, click Campaigns, then click Create campaign.
- Select the platform you want to run on (Meta, Google, TikTok, etc.).
- Choose your campaign goal (Conversions, Traffic, Lead Generation, etc.). Not sure which to pick? See: Choose the right campaign goal.
- In the Describe what you're advertising field, select an existing product or service uploaded on your Brand Context or type a short description. This is your prompt. For example:
- "Summer sale on women's activewear — 30% off, free shipping over $50"
- "Roofing company in Phoenix — free estimate, 20 years experience"
- "New SaaS product for HR teams — automates onboarding paperwork"
- Click Generate ad. The AI will produce a complete campaign draft: suggested audience targeting, headline, primary text, description, and generated images and videos — all based on your prompt and brand context.
- Review the full draft. You can:
- Edit the headline or body copy directly by clicking on any text field
- Regenerate the copy by clicking the stars icon next to any section
- Adjust the suggested audience targeting — the AI pre-fills interests, demographics, and location based on your description, but you can refine or override any of it
- Swap the image by opening the library and choosing a different AI-generated option or uploading your own
- Review the budget and adjust as needed.
- Click Save as draft to save for later, schedule it or Publish to launch.
Expected result
You'll have a complete campaign draft ready to review — AI-suggested targeting, ad copy, and creative all pre-filled. You can save as draft and preview everything, or publish it right away.
Writing prompts that get better results
The AI generates better ads when your prompt includes:
- What you're advertising — product name, service type, or offer
- Who it's for — the audience you're targeting
- The hook or key benefit — what makes this offer compelling
| Weak prompt | Strong prompt |
|---|---|
| "Shoes" | "Women's running shoes for beginners — cushioned, lightweight, under $100" |
| "My restaurant" | "Italian restaurant in Austin — wood-fired pizza, family-friendly, open late" |
| "Software product" | "Project management app for remote teams — replaces email chaos with one simple dashboard" |
Your brand context fills in the gaps automatically — colors, tone, logo — so you don't need to describe those in the prompt.
Common issues
- The ad copy doesn't sound like my brand: Check that your brand voice is set up in Brands → [your brand] → Brand context. Adding a tone description ("friendly and casual", "professional and authoritative") significantly improves output.
- The generated image doesn't match my product: Upload your own product photo instead, or use Product Shot to place your product in a lifestyle scene. See: Generate ad images with AI.
- The copy generates in the wrong language: The AI defaults to the language of your brand context. If you want a different language, specify it in your prompt: "...write the copy in Spanish (Latin American)."
- Publish button is greyed out: You're on a free trial. Publishing is available after upgrading to a paid plan.
