Duplicate a campaign
Duplicating a campaign copies all its settings — creatives, audience, goal, and budget — into a new draft you can edit before launching. It's the fastest way to test variations, scale to new audiences, or repurpose a winning campaign.
How to duplicate a campaign
- Go to the Advertise tab.
- Find the campaign you want to copy. Hover over it — a row of action icons will appear.
- Click the Duplicate option.
- A copy of the campaign is created immediately for you to review. It includes the same ad set, creatives, audience, goal, and budget as the original.
- Adjust any settings — audience, budget, creative.
- When ready, click Launch to activate it, or alternatively draft or schedule it.
Common use cases
A/B testing creatives or audiences
Duplicate a performing campaign, swap the creative or audience on the copy, then run both side by side. Since everything else stays the same, any performance difference is attributable to the one variable you changed.
Scaling to a new market or audience segment
Duplicate a campaign that's working, then update the audience targeting on the copy to reach a new segment without touching the original.
Reusing a seasonal campaign
Rather than rebuilding from scratch, duplicate a previous campaign and update the creatives, dates, and budget for the new period.
Tip: Rename the duplicated campaign before launching so you can tell them apart in your dashboard. A simple naming convention like Campaign Name – Test B or Campaign Name – Q3 keeps your Advertise tab readable.
What gets copied
The duplicate includes all of the following from the original campaign:
- Campaign goal
- Ad set configuration (creatives, copy, headlines)
- Audience targeting settings
- Budget and bidding settings
- Platform (Meta, Google, etc.)
Note: The duplicate starts as a draft and does not inherit the original campaign's performance history, learning phase progress, or pixel data. It will go through its own learning phase when launched.
Common issues
I don't see the duplicate icon
Make sure you're hovering directly over the campaign row — the action icons only appear on hover. If the icon still doesn't appear, check that your account has campaign editing permissions.
The duplicated campaign isn't in my list
Duplicated campaigns are instantly opened on the campaign editor. Save it as a draft or launch it to see it in the Advertise tab.
